Congratulations on taking the first step to creating an easier transition to college.
Creating your own business niche is the ultimate reward.Corbett College Consulting began as a simple idea a few years ago but has now become a reality. I am so blessed to have been given this opportunity to provide a service whose need has grown exponentially over the last few years. What some see as a frustrating and overwhelming process, I see as a fascinating and exciting beginning to an end. Higher education has become the linchpin to an uncertain future where positioning yourself for a professional career is a necessity. The process of applying to college, however, can be daunting. The good thing though, it doesn't have to be!
My job is to help families navigate through the admission process as well as the financial aid process so that they can make informed decisions about which college is right for their child. I have been on both sides of this dilemma. As a parent of three, I, too, had to deal with different colleges and their unique ways of doing things. On the other hand, as a former financial aid director, I have valuable insight into the workings of the financial aid processes with respect to grants, scholarships, and loans. There are myriad other details that go along with these, but we can discuss those later. I have over 15 years experience in higher education on both the administrative and faculty ends. I believe this gives me a unique edge over some other educational consultants whose experience stems from an admissions point of view. As a member of the Kentucky Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (KASFAA), I have at my disposal valuable information and resources as well as colleagues to ensure the proper protocols are followed and guidelines are adhered to with respect to financial aid guidelines.
I believe in the value of a good education so much that I pursued my doctoral degree just so that I could provide a more advanced level of credibility to my prospective clients than is otherwise necessary. My PhD is in Organization and Management with a Specialization in Leadership from Capella University. I have a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) degree from Webster University, an undergraduate degree from Spalding University, and several Associate degrees from other colleges. Higher Education is my passion. I love all aspects of it from being a student, to teaching students, to working with students on the administrative side.
I eagerly look forward to working with your family to help make your child's dream a reality. Let's Get Started
